Camille Ameen
Ms. Ameen is an actress, acting teacher and educator. She founded Inside Out with Jonathan Zeichner in 1996 and acted as Co-Director until 2007. She has appeared in over 90 plays including Othello on Broadway, the Obie-award winning K-Impressions of Kafka’s The Trial, and in leading roles in major regional theaters. TV credits include ER, Gilmore Girls, Melrose Place, Roseanne and LA Law. Since 1988, she has taught voice and acting to professionals. In 1992, she began teaching Council (a technique for dialoguing about issues of importance to young people) in the Mysteries Program at Crossroads School and currently is a Council facilitator/mentor. For nine years she was an artist with Imagination Workshop working with homeless families, veterans, and the mentally ill. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College. Ms. Ameen has worked as an Artist Leader in all of Inside Out’s program sites.
Ayana Cahrr
Ms. Cahrr is an accomplished director, choreographer, and actress. Her stage credits include directing and choreographing work in I Lost My Laugh in the Revolution, Black Woman State of the Union, Beauty for Ashes, and Butterflies of Uganda. She was nominated for a Best Acting Ensemble for the 2008 NAACP Awards for Butterflies of Uganda, which also received an Honorable Mention at the 2008 Garland Awards. Ms. Cahrr’s performing credits include co-starring and feature roles in a myriad of television shows, including The Practice, The X-Files, and Power Rangers. She graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in theatre, and has been an Artist Leader at Inside Out since 2001.
Thomas Callahan
Mr. Callahan is an actor, artist, and radio broadcaster and has over 20 years of broadcast and performance experience. Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, he studied acting with Jeannie Lindheim and MichaelShurtleff, worked in public and commercial radio, and studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City before relocating to Los Angeles. Mr. Callahan has been in over 20 films, commercials, and radio & theatre productions including The Lesson, Metamorphosis, A Cry of Players, Abracadabra, Mercedes-Benz, Miller-Liteand sketch comedy and improv troupes. He has exhibited his art in LosAngeles, New York, and Boston. A recipient of several awards from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Associated Press, and the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California, Mr. Callahan was co-founder of WUMB-FM in Boston, and currently hosts Seasons & Celebrations broadcast on Live365.com. He has been an Inside Out artist since 1999.
Goreti da Silva, Master Trainer
An Inside Out artistsince 1998, Ms. da Silva is an actress/ educator who works in theater,television and film. Most recently, she appeared in the independentfilms BlindSociety, Tender Turkey, Waiting for Dogot, Who Let the Dogs Out? andThe Making Of Daniel Boone. She performs frequently with the ActorsTheatre Group (Mastergate, Jake's Women, Two Rooms, Murder, Murder!!). She also performed sketch comedy on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, starred in Cold Feet (sitcom pilot), was part of the ensemble in Sane Asylum (sketch comedy pilot), hosted The Mystery Chef (cooking show pilot), starred in two educational plays, Could I Get AIDs? and The Nature Of Magic at the California Science Center, played the lead in Praying With the Enemy at the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts, and originated the lead role in The Burning House. Before moving to LA, Ms. da Silva taught high school in Canada, where she headed the English as a Second Language Department.
Logan Johnson
Mr. Johnson is an actor, screenwriter, and graphic artist who began his professional training at the DC Black Repertory Co. in Washington, D.C. Credits include A Raisin in the Sun, Inherit the Wind, The Life of Marcus Garvey, The Miser, A Soldier's Story, The Trials of Brother Jero Jonin, and 1001 Black Intentions. He won Best Actor in the 1990 Source Theatre Festival in Washington, D.C. for his role in Bamsville, and again a year later for his 20-minute short The Catalyst. Currently he performs as jazz vocalist with Suitable for Framing at The Jazz Bakery. He was the featured vocalist in the 2005 documentary I Build the Tower. He has worked as an Inside Out Artist Leader since its founding in 1996.
Barry Nolan
Mr. Nolan has performed extensively in film, theatre, and television. His recent film credits include Montana, By Appointment Only (lead), Dirty Love, and Instant Dads. He has appeared as a recurring star on The Young and the Restless, and his theatre credits include The Sound of Murder, Prelude and Liebestod, Steven Dietz’s Dracula, Arsenic and Old Lace, and A Nice Family Gathering. He has trained extensively in Improvisation, Commercial Acting, Scene Study, Shakespeare/Classical, and Stage Combat with industry professionals in Los Angeles, including Ken Lerner, the Margie Harber Studios, Groundlings, Mike Pointer, Larry Moss Studios, and Ellen Geer. Mr. Nolan has been an Inside Out Artist Leader since 2008.
Drew Saenz-Hudson
Mr. Hudson is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with an MFA in Acting. His film experience includes a lead role in The Cavern along with numerous supporting roles. His television experience includes Cold Case (CBS), Leverage (TNT), CSI: Miami (CBS), Drive (FOX), and Charmed (CW). His extensive theatre credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Mysteries, and Fiddler on the Roof. He has performed in New York, Texas, California, and Colorado. He has been an Inside Out Artist Leader since 2007.
Hadley Tomicki
Hadley Tomicki grew up acting on stage in Southern California before studying at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He has provided voices for two Grand Theft Auto games and acted in a variety of independent film productions. Also an international travel editor and food critic, Hadley has long contributed to Black Book Magazine's city guides and website, and has had articles published in L.A. Weekly, Men's Fitness, Tinta Latina, ENTREE Travel Newsletter, AHamburgerToday.com, and Usounds.com. Hadley is one of the founding publishers of LATaco.com and is currently editor of New York Magazine's Grub Street Los Angeles.
Gina Valona
Ms. Valona graduated with honors with a Theatre Arts degree from Cal State University Northridge. She's performed in plays locally and internationally including Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts), Nicky Silver's Pterodactyls (Shanghai International Theatre Festival ), and Doug Kaback's Shim Chong (Getty Center Los Angeles and the National Theatre of Korea). She also works as a spokesperson (Microsoft 2007 Business Certification), a voice over artist (Hollywood Park), and model (Verizon Wireless) to name a few of her recent projects. She has taught acting to youth in Los Angeles for the past 7 years at the Teenage Drama Workshop and at Inside Out Community Arts since 2005.
Johanna Watts
Ms. Watts is an accomplished actress who has appeared in numerous plays, films and TV shows in Los Angeles. She most recently appeared in co-starring roles on the CBS shows CSI:Miami and Cold Case. Stage credits include Germain in Picasso at the Lapin Agile at Theatre Palisades, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet with P.K. Yonge Theater, Sonya in Uncle Vanya at Different Stages and the lead in Hamlet at the S.F.C.C. Shakespeare Festival. Her film credits include Catherine's Story, American Falls, MacBeth, and Lone Star Struck. Ms. Watts has worked as an artist with Inside Out for three years.
