The School Project

Our flagship program takes place after-school and on weekends and serves up to 220 middle-school youth (36+ youth at 6 middle schools across the City) and 36 high–school and college-age Alumni Mentors annually.

The program includes:

• Weekly after-school workshops
• An alumni mentor program – alumni assist at workshops, camp and performances
• Saturday workshops for participants and families
• Field trips to professional theater productions
• 3-day camping/rehearsal retreats out of the City
• Original plays (3 at each school) created by participants about important issues
• Preview performances at school assemblies
• Free culminating public performances and receptions at professional theater venues
