The Possibility Project at Inside Out Community Arts

Having begun its pilot year in the fall of 2009, TPP@IOCA is a cross-cultural arts-based leadership program for teens that uses theatre to help young people identify and meet the challenges they face. Teens outside the IOCA programs as well as TSP and NAP graduates looking for a more in-depth theatre and community leadership experience are invited to audition for TPP@IOCA.

This program includes:

  • Leadership opportunities for all participants throughout the program session
  • Intensive issue-driven arts-based workshops combining diversity, violence prevention, problem solving and conflict resolution training
  • Teens collaborate with professional artists to help create their original production
  • Premiere performances at professional theatres throughout LA
  • A Day of Action, where teens engage LA neighborhoods in issues of importance to them with thought-provoking, interactive Community Action Projects
